CM Cloud email supports ActiveSync (Exchange ActiveSync / Z-Push), letting your phone or desktop sync email, contacts, and calendar in real time using the same protocol as Microsoft Exchange.

You need your full email address and an IMAP password generated from the portal. ActiveSync uses the same password as IMAP — generate it from your Services page before starting setup on your device.

- Open your portal, go to Services, select your email service, and click 'Get IMAP Password' to generate a fresh password. Save it.
- On your phone or desktop, go to Settings and add a new Exchange or Work email account.
- Enter your full email address and the password from step 1.
- When prompted for server details enter: Server mail.cmcloudhosting.com, SSL enabled, port 443.
- If your device asks for a domain, leave it blank or enter mail.cmcloudhosting.com.
- Confirm and wait for your device to connect — email, contacts, and calendar will begin syncing.

Support can help if ActiveSync fails to connect, if contacts or calendar are missing after setup, or if your device reports a certificate or authentication error.

Adding an ActiveSync account on your device does not change portal settings, reset your password, or affect webmail or other email clients.

IMAP and ActiveSync share the same password. If you generate a new one from the portal, update it on every device and app that connects to your mailbox.
