What this covers
HTTPS is issued and renewed for you once the domain points at us. Your site is backed up every day to encrypted storage held off the server it runs on, and we can restore it. A weekly restore point is also created inside your own account, which you can restore yourself from the portal.
Before you start
Know which domain will serve the site. Backups are only as useful as the last one, so if you are about to make a big change, ask us for a fresh one first.
How to do it
- Point the domain at us; the certificate is issued automatically a few minutes later and renewed without you doing anything.
- Check your site over https:// before announcing it.
- Before a risky change — a major plugin update, a theme switch — ask us for a backup so you have a known-good point.
- To roll back, open the service in your portal and use the restore action, or ask us and we will restore from the off-site copy.
- ⚠️ If you are leaving another host, do not cancel it until the site here is verified working. That old account is your real fallback during a move.
