What this covers
We install and configure WordPress, put it on your domain with free SSL, and back it up daily to storage off the server. You get the WordPress admin and can install themes and plugins yourself. You do not manage the server, and there is no SSH.
Before you start
Have your domain, the email address for the WordPress admin account, and any theme or plugins you know you need. If you are moving an existing site, do not change its plugins or DNS while the move is in progress.
How to do it
- Pick a plan by how heavy the site will be. Starter suits a blog or brochure; Business and Pro give more memory and more simultaneous visitors, which is what page builders and WooCommerce need.
- Pay, and WordPress is installed automatically — the admin login appears in your portal under Services.
- Point your domain at us, then wait a few minutes for the certificate.
- Sign in to WordPress and set your theme, pages and plugins.
- Moving an existing site? Tell us before you start and we will handle the migration rather than you exporting by hand.
